Overview
The Transport Infrastructure Department is responsible for driving the development, regulation, and monitoring of transport-related Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects across Nigeria. Its work ensures that road, rail, aviation, and maritime infrastructure projects are efficiently structured, transparently executed, and aligned with national development priorities.
The department plays a critical role in addressing Nigeria’s infrastructure gaps by working with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to deliver world-class transport facilities that promote economic growth, trade, and mobility.
Mandate of The Office
The department is mandated to:
Manage the Commission’s financial planning, budgeting, and procurement processes.
Oversee human resource development, staff welfare, and capacity building.
Provide ICT infrastructure and digital solutions for efficiency.
Maintain Commission facilities and ensure a safe, productive work environment.
Support inter-departmental operations and special projects.
Core Functions
Finance & Procurement: Managing budgets, accounting, and transparent procurement processes.
Human Resources: Recruitment, training, performance management, and staff welfare.
ICT Services: Developing and maintaining the Commission’s IT systems and digital platforms.
General Administration: Handling logistics, office facilities, and staff support services.
Internal Support: Providing cross-departmental assistance for smooth operations.

Preparing and managing the Commission’s annual budget.
Implementing transparent procurement processes in line with government regulations.
Recruiting and onboarding skilled professionals for the Commission.
Organizing staff training, capacity building, and welfare programs.
Providing ICT tools and maintaining the Commission’s digital infrastructure.
